Koh Samed is located in the Gulf of Thailand, 200km South East from Bangkok. The island has a great influence in the Thai culture due to the famous "Pra Apai Manee" legend written by renowned poet Sunthorn Poo in the late 19th century. Koh Samed is also the closest island from Bangkok where tourists, locals and tired souls escape to relax and enjoy some good times amid the nature.

From Bangkok you can hire a private taxi, minibus or take the public bus (Ekkamai bus station). The new highway offers ideal accessibility and your short 2 hours journey will take you to the pier at Ban Phe, opposite to Koh Samed.
